About Me
organizing a warehouse for safety

Do you have all of the organizational equipment that you need to keep your storage areas organized and safe? If not, now is the time to begin looking into the industrial shelving that is manufactured for businesses just like yours. It was not until I lost a lot of product due to a stack of pallets falling over that I knew just how important it was to have shelving to stack the pallets of goods on. Sure, I was able to file a claim and retrieve some of the lost money, but it had a severely negative impact on my business. Learn more about how I reorganized my warehouse and improved the situation for my business, my employees and my customers.

A Look At Common Industrial Applications Of HDPE

Sam Gomez

HDPE, which is high-density polyethylene, is one of the most useful modern materials out there in the industrial world, but this may be a material that you do not hear a great deal about. Created with both chemical and UV resilience in mind, HDPE is highly resilient and heavily relied upon in an array of industrial applications. Even more beneficial, HDPE is not all that expensive to make and the materials to make HDPE are readily available and easy to find in most places. Take a look at some of the most common industrial applications of HDPE materials.

HDPE Liner Pipe Boots

Pipe boots are designed to stop leaks where a pipe meets a liner in an industrial setting. The joint between the pipe's end and the liner is more prone to leakage than perhaps any other area, and a boot is flexible enough to slide into place to prevent loss of liquid or gaseous materials at these joints. HDPE is commonly used to make liner pipe boots because it is flexible, resilient, and easily molded into the necessary shape to provide the most adequate levels of protection. You will find HDPE pipe boot liners in use in all kinds of industrial settings, from agricultural to water treatment and more.

HDPE Landfill Covers

When a landfill area needs protection from the elements, be it wind, rain, or something else, HDPE liners are often placed over certain areas to do just that. The HDPE is thin enough that it is easy to install because it is delivered on a roll that can just be rolled over the landfill areas that need protection. Plus, the material is thin and fairly easy to maneuver or move around when the cover is no longer needed, which means the HDPE covers are reusable many times and a cost-effective option.

HDPE Mining Area Protection

In some mining operations, exposure to the elements can completely compromise the mining operation's ability to harvest the materials they are going after. For example, in the mining of some type of fine ore, the powdered material can be difficult to work with when it gets wet. In these operations, HDPE mining blankets may be used to create a temporary layer of protection over specific areas so they can be easier managed by the employees during periods of rainy weather. Because HDPE also wards off UV rays, the larger liners can be used as on overshadowing canopy for certain materials.
